The Glorious Victory of
General Strike of August 7th In [Iranian] Kurdistan
August7th the day in which people carried out a united, glorious General
Strike has became a page in the history of the revolutionary movement in Kurdistan.
The militant people of Kurdisatn after confronting the savage forces of the
Islamic Republic for a month demonstrated the power of unity, and solidarity
with a coordinated, and organized General Strike, encompassing all cities of Kurdistan.
The people of Kurdistan have solidified their struggles
of the past month, with this General Strike, and made the earth hotter under
the feet of Islamic Republic. The people of revolutionary Kurdistan
have demonstrated a high capacity for vanguard culture of struggle,
organization, and political awareness. In their fight against Islamic Republic
to achieve their just demands, with this victory they have passed through an
era, and entered a new phase. This is a phase in which elements of consciousness,
organization, and coordination will play a deciding role in progression of the
peoples struggle.
By learning from the lessons, and experiences of this historical action
the people of Kurdistan will not be held back by
reactionary moves, tactics, or methods imposed by enemy. In every step of their struggle they’ll take
into account the balance of forces between their foes and friends, and devise a
method and a path compatible with political conditions and the level of
struggle. Thus they’ll combine the courage, and the initiative- gained through their mass action- with
consciousness, and with the least casualties, will pave the way towards
victory. The people of Kurdistan at this juncture of
their campaign besides relying on treasures of lessons and experiences gained
in their mass struggle, could also rely on a true
human resource, which has developed within the revolutionary movement of Kurdistan.
The workers movement in struggle for their demands, the women movement
in struggle to end social prejudice, and bias against them, the youth
movement’s struggle for freedom, and an end to individual, and social
injustices, and the general mass movement of the Kurdish people against
national oppression, has moved to fore organic leaders. This new leadership by
coordinating amongst them could propel this movement step by step towards their
goals, and guarantee the forward direction of the revolutionary movement in
Kurdisatn.
This General Strike stands as the culmination of the struggles of the
previous month, and it has proved that the people of Kurdistan
are aware of their path to victory, and will not be influenced by the
temptation of some currents intending to keep them on hold with the promises of
intervention by powerful external forces. Their reliance on their own resources
and the power of direct action is the only real guarantee of victory.
For all the people through out Iran
the message of this General Strike was also clear, and hopeful. Kurdish
people’s struggle in this phase will be inspiring for all emancipatory, and
liberation movements through out Iran.
The day in which all workers, toilers, and oppressed people of Iran
will close ranks, and arise united hand in hand building their bright future is
not far away.
Endless gratitude to the militant people who answered
positively to Komalah’s call for a General Strike on August 6th,
despite meddling, and obstruction of pseudo friends, and added another golden
page to their proud history of struggle. We congratulate all indefatigable
activists who through daily sacrifices, and intelligent organizing made this
mass action possible. We hope this glorious victory will be an introduction to
further progress and victories ahead.
