Workers news from Iran
NOSHIN SANAT’S FACTORY Several months from closing of NOSHIN SANAT’S FACTORY passed without any attention to workers of its. Because of closing of factory 84 workers have been unemployed. Workers have reported action of employers to the regime responsible(s) many times and they asked for returning to work, but nobody pays attention to workers’ problem. In the meantime those labours have not received their wages about 8 months.
GHAZVIN Workers of GHOFLKAR COMPANY have been striking since 7th of September 2005 by the reason of un-payment of wages by employers. At present workers are continuing their strike.
CUBE SUGAR FACTORY IN CITY OF DEZFUL According to news received from TEHRAN, On Saturday, 10th September 2005 about two hundred workers by joint action of their families protested in front of AHMADI NEZHAD’S office who is president of the Islamic regime. In that protest, workers requested to dissolve their problems. DEZFUL’S cube sugar factory has been closed in 2002 and its unemployed labours are still in suspense. Although those workers have referred to the regime organizations many times, but nothing has been done in this case. Workers say,” if somebody does not pay attention to our problems, we will continue to our protest.”
ESFAHAN In conformity with received news from city of ESFAHAN On 11th of September 2005 about 150 workers of BARESH WEAVING & SPINNING COMPANY gathered in front of KAWSAR’S HOTEL in centre of this city. Objector workers asked for pay delayed wages and benefits. Those workers have not received their wages since 3 month ago so employers abstain to pay workers’ insurance.
ROLLED WOODEN COMPANY On the basis of sent news from GHAZVIN rolled wooden company was closed and its workers have been unemployed. Employers suspended company under the pretext of debt. Unemployed labours referred to the regime organizations and they asked for return to work but the regime responsible(s) and employers do not do any necessary acts for the sake of dissolving workers’ problem.
IRANPAPIROS COMPANY IN CITY OF SAVEH This company closed and 120 its workers were unemployed. Those workers have referred to the regime responsible(s) several times and they have requested to come back to work but nobody listen to their wish.
GHAZVIN PROVINCE From beginning of 2005 until now about 10 factories have been closed and more than one thousand workers have been unemployed. Also POSHINEH BAFT, NAZNAKH, SARNAKH & MEHNAKH have met crisis. Should say, economic policies of the Iranian government have caused crisis and unemployment in IRAN.
IRANPOYA COMPANY According to received news, On Wednesday, 14th September, 2005 the regime forces attacked objector workers whom had gathered in front of above-named company. In that wildly attack 6 workers were wounded by the regime forces. Discriminate against workers and good reward managers were reasons of that protest.
WESTERN AZARBAIJAN PROVINCE More than 3 thousand children work in small workshops in cities of Western AZARBAIJAN Province. All of them are under 16 years old. According to completed inquires those children have been deprived from any rights so they work in lieu of the least wages. Although the Islamic Regime has signed the pacts of control of recruiting children but in conformity with statistics four thousand children work in IRAN.
ALBORZ’S CARPET COMPANY On 17th of September, 2005 workers of above-named company protested in front of governorship of BABOLSAR. Those workers have not received their wages since March 2005, also after employer was changed their new employer fired them out. Must say the ALBORZ’S CARPET COMPANY does not have any problem for purposes of producing and selling!
WORKERS OF WEAVING COMPANY On the basis of received news from city of SANANDAJ On 24th of September , 2005 workers of above-named factory struck because in the morning of same day managements of the factory gave to 41 conventional labours slips then they wanted workers to sign those papers. The managements have written in slips that when employer wants to fire workers out nobody dose have right to protest about employer’s decision, but not only workers did not sign it also they struck and other labours supported them.
MAHABAD Employers of bakeries pay workers’ wage as 15 years ago! Labours of bakeries receive one dollar and 50 cents in exchange for 12 hours work so they have been deprived from their legal rights.
SEMNAN PROVINCE Municipality of MAHDISHAHR closed two companies and 600 workers lost their jobs. The regime economic policies and disputes between Iranian employers with government departments have caused unemployment in IRAN.
